Counseling Fees and Health Plan Coverage

Puckett Counseling Services therapists are in network with most major health plan coverage options in the region, including: Aetna Better Health, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kentucky Medicaid, Humana Caresource, Passport, and WellCare, providing comprehensive Medicaid services and mental health services to meet your needs.

Each health plan coverage is different, but co-payments for private insurance typically range from $10 to $20 per session. Managed Care Organizations, such as WellCare and Passport, provide mental health services and Medicaid services for children and adults either at no charge to you or for a small copayment. Notably, there is no copayment for children, and the highest copayment for an adult is just $3.00.

Please Note: Insurance does not cover the cost of marriage or couple therapy. Typically, health plan coverage will not include marriage counseling unless the counselor determines that you or your spouse is experiencing a mental disorder. In such cases, marriage counseling may be covered as part of the mental health services provided for the disorder, but not otherwise. Additionally, Medicaid services may have similar limitations regarding coverage for marriage counseling.
